How Google Works
Googles one goal in life is to give the searcher the MOST relevant pages based on the many MANY parameters above.
How do you win the “Page 1 Google” war?
Give the searchers what they want!
If they want a kitchen designer in Denver that knows how to break down a wall and install a flat screen tv inside of it… and you know how to do that, then you should write a post called
Denver Kitchen Designers replace a wall in a kitchen with a flat screen tv
In the article, you would talk about multiple use kitchens and great room space, designing for the kitchen based on how your family uses the space, photos before and after etc.
The more specific and Long-tail you can make your information in relation to your main topic the better you will rank but more important the more conversions you’ll have from your website
Website – call/email – appointment – contract
How do you get the word out about your new post?
Blog pages work on RSS Feeds… why is that good?
RSS Feeds get pulled from aggregators that feed your links to all sorts of topical websites and automatically create back links that you don’t have to do manually.
RSS Feeds can be pulled so that they automatically go to your twitter feed and your Facebook pages.
This is a cool time saver but is it enough? NO!
For people to want to follow you (Twitter) Like you (Facebook) you need to be social… (Social Networking)
Things people like on social media
- Share information
- Information about your topic
- Local information/events/news
- Share their information aka RT (Re-tweet on twitter), Post their information on your facebook page and link to (tag them) on facebook.
- Ask questions?
- Answer questions?
- Promote other’s and they will promote you (sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t but it shows to your followers/friends that your company is one that promotes locally)
What should I write on my new page?
Add at LEAST one photo of your project, before and after, a cool sink and why it is cool.. whatever.
Describe what’s in the photo using key word rich paragraphs. It doesn’t have to be fancy. i.e. take a look at this custom kitchen we designed for our client in Aspen CO It features stainless steal XYZ appliances special kind of sink by custom tile application using blah blah method.
Judy, a native of Aspen just loves how easy it is to cook in her new custom kitchen that we designed to her specifications.
She at first thought she wanted a stainless steel sink but we convinced her that a stone sink would be much more durable blah blah blah…
Popular kitchen color combinations this year for Colorado kitchens are trending to Blue and White
I’ve BOLDED what could be search terms that might be googled.
Always think… what might someone who wants a kitchen designer type into google.
By looking at what words and phrases people are using to find the site you can also gain huge amounts of great marketing and trending.
